Natural Bamboo Tableware

A collection from Mountain Living, the Bamboo Tableware is made from natural bamboo from Vietnam.

After being soaked in water for 4-5 months to further increase its durability, the bamboo is left to dry slowly in open air before being used for the crafting process. Utilizing traditional skills of experienced craftsmen, each tableware is hand coated with food safe color and then sealed with 12 layers of natural resin, which is extracted in a plant called Sumac in Vietnam. This resin can only be extracted in winter, and kept for the entire year’s use. Each layer involves coating, sanding, washing and drying. This coating process can take up to 30-60 days depending on the size and complexity of the product, and the outcome is a perfectly-smooth surface and beautifully saturated colours; adding a pop of brightness to your dining experience. The entire process uses natural materials that are free of harmful chemicals or VOC (Volatile Organic Compound), making it eco friendly and safe to use.
